
The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) has announced a major recruitment drive for apprentice positions in the Northern Railway. Over 4,000 vacancies have been released for candidates with 10th pass and ITI qualifications, offering a significant opportunity for those seeking a career in the railways.
Vacancy Details and Eligibility
- Total Vacancies: 4,116 apprentice posts across various trades.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) from a recognized board and possess an ITI certificate or diploma in a relevant trade from NCVT or SCVT. Candidates awaiting their 10th or ITI results are not eligible to apply.
- Age Limit: Minimum 15 years and maximum 24 years. Age relaxations apply for reserved categories as per government norms.

- Last Date: 24 December 2025
- Merit List Announcement: Expected in February 2026
Selection Process and Fees
- Selection will be based on marks obtained in Class 10 and ITI.
- No written exam will be conducted.
- Application Fee: ₹100 for General and OBC candidates; no fee for SC, ST, women, and PwD candidates.

- Register using a mobile number and email ID.
- Log in with the generated credentials to complete the application form.
- Upload the required documents and pay the application fee (if applicable).
- Submit the form and download the confirmation page for future reference.
Important Notes
This recruitment is purely for training purposes; selected candidates will join as apprentices and undergo hands-on training in their respective trades. The positions do not guarantee permanent employment in the railways.
