Investigations into the Red Fort blast have uncovered alarming intelligence inputs linking not only Jaish-e-Mohammed but now also Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Security agencies are receiving credible reports indicating that LeT’s chief, Hafiz Saeed, is under pressure from Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI, to execute a terror attack in India bigger than the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
New Threat Signals Emerge
According to intelligence sources, the Red Fort blast has brought Lashkar’s renewed terror plans to the surface. Its growing coordination with Bangladeshi extremist groups is raising major concerns for Indian security agencies.
Inputs suggest that Hafiz Saeed is actively planning a large-scale attack on India. This comes at a time when ISI is believed to be pushing him to escalate terror operations.
Terror Commander Claimed Attack Preparation
Authorities have received information that just days before the Red Fort blast, on 30 October, LeT commander Saifullah Saif openly claimed during a rally in Khairpur Tamawali, Pakistan, that preparations for a major attack against India were underway. He stated that Hafiz Saeed had already finalized the plan.
Earlier in October, Pakistani terror commanders and Hamas leaders had also visited Dhaka during a major religious gathering, indicating cross-border extremist collaboration.
Reactivation of Bangladeshi Terror Networks
Bangladesh had recently released several individuals detained under terror charges. Intelligence reports now indicate that:
- Ansar-ul-Bangla (ABT)
- Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB)
- Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami Bangladesh (HuJI-B)
- Hizb-ut-Tahrir
are regrouping and rebuilding their networks.
There are also worrying inputs that Jamaat operatives are training Rohingya refugees in Ramu and Cox’s Bazar camps for attacks in the Arakan region.
Since the beginning of the year, multiple ISI teams have toured Bangladesh, signalling that these visits may be part of a broader conspiracy targeting India.
Scrutiny of Doctors Trained Abroad
In a new investigation angle, agencies are now examining doctors who obtained their medical education from China, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and the UAE.
This comes after the emergence of a “doctor module” allegedly linked to terror activities.
Investigators plan to question such doctors to determine whether they had any knowledge or connection with the module. Information is being collected from medical administration bodies, private hospitals, nursing homes, and medical boards.
Social Media Under Tight Surveillance
Post-blast, Delhi Police and central agencies have intensified monitoring of online platforms.
Officials confirm that:
- Accounts showing radicalised comments,
- Suspicious likes or reposts,
- Extremist propaganda,
- Misleading or inflammatory content, and
- AI-generated fake videos
are all being closely tracked.
A senior Delhi Police officer said that the Special Branch and Cyber Unit are working round-the-clock to ensure no online activity escalates into a security threat.
