*Madhya Pradesh Steps into a New Era of Growth, Innovation, and Employment

Jabalpur, October 31, 2025

As Madhya Pradesh proudly steps into the 70th year of its foundation, the state stands poised at the dawn of a new era—one defined by unprecedented growth, innovation, and opportunity. Since its formation on November 1, 1956, the heart of India has witnessed a steady evolution. Over the past two decades, this journey has transformed into a mission—turning Madhya Pradesh into one of the nation’s most promising and progressive states.

It is a moment of spiritual and cultural harmony that this year’s Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day coincides with Dev Uthani Ekadashi—a day that symbolizes awakening, renewal, and auspicious beginnings. Our festivals and traditions are the living expressions of our identity, inspiring us to draw strength from our glorious heritage while shaping a prosperous future. Enriched by sacred rivers such as Narmada, Chambal, Parvati, and Shipra, and blessed by the divine presence of Baba Mahakal, Madhya Pradesh remains the land of sages, scholars, and saints—from Lord Parashurama and Lord Krishna’s Gurukul to Adi Shankaracharya’s penance at Omkareshwar. It is the birthplace of King Vikramaditya, the founder of Vikram Samvat—the world’s first scientific calendar—and a land where valor and wisdom have long coexisted.

Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is advancing rapidly toward the goal of becoming a Developed Nation. Inspired by his mission of Viksit Bharat, Madhya Pradesh is contributing actively to this national vision through sustained focus on Industry, Innovation, and Employment. This year’s Foundation Day theme—Industry and Employment—beautifully captures the state’s commitment to inclusive development, cultural prosperity, and people’s participation.

Recognizing the unique potential of every region, the state has embarked on an ambitious journey of investment and transformation. The Regional Investors Summit series, launched in March 2024, has brought the spirit of enterprise to every corner—from Ujjain and Jabalpur to Gwalior, Sagar, Rewa, Shahdol, and Narmadapuram—extending further to major business hubs like Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi, and even international destinations including the UK, Germany, Japan, and Dubai. These summits and global roadshows have positioned Madhya Pradesh as a magnet for investment, supported by transparent governance and a conducive business ecosystem.

With the establishment of Innovation Hubs, a dynamic Startup Policy, Funding Support, and Incubation Networks, Madhya Pradesh has emerged as a vital contributor to India’s startup revolution. The Global Investors Summit and Mineral Conclave have attracted record-breaking investments—over ₹56,000 crore in proposals—affirming global confidence in the state’s economic direction.

The transformation is visible across sectors. In the last two years, Madhya Pradesh has made historic strides in industry, agriculture, renewable energy, and social empowerment. Guided by Prime Minister Modi’s GYAN mantra—Garib (Poor), Yuva (Youth), Annadata (Farmer), and Nari (Woman)—the state government is implementing welfare programs that promote self-employment, housing, education, healthcare, and social security.

Through the Skill Development Mission and Startup Policy 2025, the youth of Madhya Pradesh are being transformed from job seekers into job creators. Vocational training, job fairs, apprenticeship programs, and digital certifications are opening new doors of employment. Madhya Pradesh has also become the first state in India to publish an official recruitment calendar, ensuring timely and transparent government hiring.

Agriculture—the backbone of the state’s economy—is entering a new age of technology and modernization. Drone-based crop assessments, smart irrigation systems, and value-added agro-industries are revolutionizing rural livelihoods. Mega projects like Ken-Betwa and Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal Link promise to expand irrigation coverage to over 100 lakh hectares in the coming years. Today, Madhya Pradesh stands among India’s leading producers of wheat, soybean, gram, and spices, cementing its reputation as the Food and Seed Capital of India.

Women empowerment forms the heart of this development model. The Ladli Bahna Yojana has provided economic strength and security to millions of women. Simultaneously, the Nari Shakti Mission and Women Entrepreneurship Policy are encouraging women to lead in industries such as dairy, handicrafts, and services. Thousands of self-help groups are being supported with credit access, market linkages, and training—making Nari Shakti the foundation of a New and Self-Reliant India.

In addition, the Chief Minister Gau-Sanvardhan Mission is redefining dairy development and cattle conservation. By linking traditional cow protection with modern economics, the mission is boosting milk production, creating jobs, and supporting rural incomes.

With the collective strength of its people and the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, Madhya Pradesh continues its golden journey of inclusive and sustainable development—living the values of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas.”

Bringing a smile to every poor household, ensuring prosperity for every farmer, dignity for every woman, and a bright future for every youth—this is not just our commitment but our mission. Together, let us build a Self-Reliant Madhya Pradesh and proudly contribute to the vision of a Developed India.
